Paris Fashion Week

Paris Fashion Week brings together the elite in the world of fashion; well-known fashion designers, and brand houses such as Dior, Louis Vuitton, Miu Miu, Alexander McQueen, Marc Jacobs and Chanel work all year round to inspire with their designs and artistic flair.This heady atmospheric occasion brings out ‘fashion’ rivalry between some designers. No designer wants to fall short at Paris Fashion Week, especially at such a prestigious event. The pressure is on and it’s what makes this a memorable time in the fashion calendar. Paris Fashion Week encompasses the whole package; from hats, hairstyles, sunglasses, bags, accessories, footwear as well as designer clothing.

The first Paris Fashion Week begins between the months of January and April; this is the time when Paris Fashion week showcase the autumn and winter collections. The next Paris Fashion Week starts again between the months of September and November for the spring and summer collections. Paris Fashion Week takes place months in advance of the season; this allows for buyers and the fashion press to preview what’s in store for the following season. Retailers and buyers alike look to purchase the latest trends; taking designs from the catwalk to the streets. Retail customers are just as eager to find out what’s hot and what’s not.

Paris Men’s week is the first show highlighting the best of international menswear; commencing 16th – 20th January 2013. Who’s Next – Pret-à-Porter & Accessories tradeshow is where young graduate from international fashions schools display their work to fashion buyers. This is held on 19th – 22nd January 2013. Haute Couture Fashion Week starts on 21st – 24th January 2013. This is one of Paris Fashion Week’s acclaimed shows whereby top designers, together with the finest craftsmen, bring their creations to life on the catwalk. Paris Fashion Week closes with Women’s Fashion Week on 26th February through to 6th March 2013. Paris Fashion Week continues to grow bigger and elaborate year after year; as the next generation of young designers set their sights on the prize.
